REFERRALS

REACH partners with municipalities to provide evidence-based support for children and young people.

Everything you need to know about getting started with REACH. Support for your child starts here.

You've come to the right place

We support children and young people between the ages of 2 and 17, offering services in both English and Dutch based on the needs of the child and family.

OVERVIEW

REACH provides individualized, evidence-based support for neurodivergent children and young people, in close collaboration with families, referrers, municipalities, schools, and other care partners.

Services are tailored to each child’s strengths, needs, and goals and may include individual treatment and support, group-based support, parents collaboration and training, and coordination with schools, referrers, and other professionals.

Our programs are grounded in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and designed to be practical, individualized, and responsive to each child’s developmental profile, with a strong emphasis on meaningful communication, skill development, and teaching within natural environments.

Depending on the child’s needs, referral pathway, and municipality or funding system involved, services may be delivered under different funding routes and product codes.

EVIDENCE-BASED APPROACH

REFERRAL PROCESS

How it works

Referrals to REACH can be made by municipalities, general practitioners (huisartsen), or other care providers. We aim to keep the referral process as clear and straightforward as possible.

01

Referral Submission

A referral is submitted through the appropriate channel (municipality, GP, or care provider), including relevant background information about the child and family.

02

Initial Review & Contact

Once we receive the referral, our team reviews the information and contacts the family to schedule an intake meeting.

03

Intake & Alignment

During the intake, we assess the child’s needs and, if appropriate, place them on the waiting list.

04

Funding & Start of Care

Following intake and approval of funding through the appropriate municipality or system, support can begin. We work closely with both the family and referrer to ensure continuity and alignment throughout the process.
